Nedim Katgı Music Scholarship was established by the Turkish and International Music Ensemble (TIME) in 2022 in memory of Nedim Katgı, founder of the New York Ataturk Chorus. The scholarship supports outstanding conservatory students, through a partnership with Turkish Educational Foundation (TEV).
The Nedim Katgı Music Scholarship helps ensure that talented conservatory students can pursue their studies free of undue financial burden. Every year, the scholarship supports at least two exceptional music students.
Applications are due in September prior to the start of the school year. For more information please visit TEV’s website.
The scholarships will be paid out from October through June at each school year. The amounts will be adjusted annually by TEV to account for cost of living changes.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, donations to TIME are tax-exempt in the US. Also, TIME is an approved nonprofit organization on Benevity which provides gift matching for eligible corporations. If you are donating from the US, please use the link below.
